What is the Civic Leadership Assessment?
It is a statement of activities that influence the democratic outcomes of local government producing an “ image”.
Any person can purchase this tool and request others to comment on it, resulting in a collective opinion of the functioning and the relationships of the elected officials. In effect, the purchaser becomes a private pollster.
The polling data is analyzed by qualified scholars and practitioners contracted by the company, who offer commendations and recommendations for the furtherance of good local government and image improvement. They are a mixture of retired city managers, current and past elected and appointed officials, and public administration professionals, including those holding law degrees.
These are conveyed to the purchaser as private proprietary information in several communication formats as the purchaser desires; a scheduled real time zoom meeting presentation, or a flash drive sent via USPS (thus securing the data from internet hackers) or a written report emailed. Or all three.
.
What do the results do exactly?
They provide respondents to the survey, along with the elected officials who are being evaluated, with the level of image satisfaction of the community.
The results provide the elected officials with data from their constituents through the Survey Report on what is going well, and what should be improved. It is a Report Card so to speak.
